This winter, Yagdil Torah families of Montreal were treated to a five-star winter retreat like no other. Following the success of our Summer retreat, back in Chodesh Elul.
A beautiful venue right outside of the island of Montreal on the banks of the S. Laurence River provided the perfect backdrop for a day full of connection, relaxation, and inspiration.
The retreat was designed to cater to the entire family, offering a range of activities, workshops, and delicious meals from noon until evening. Special guests Rabbi Isser Zalman and Mrs. Chana Weisberg, world-renowned lecturers and writers, brought their unique wisdom, engaging the adults in meaningful discussions and personal conversations.
While the adults enjoyed thoughtful sessions, the children were in great hands. Babysitters and staff ensured the kids had a blast, with activities ranging from bouncy castles to a in-house comic magician. Older children even got the thrill of visiting a nearby trampoline park.
The men and women had separate interactive sessions with Rabbi and Mrs. Weisberg, focusing on relevant and hot topics like the Rebbe’s call for our generation to prepare the world for Mashiach, and how Western society as well as the rebirth of Eretz Yisroel are part of this mission, by Rabbi Weisberg and topics like how the Jewish approach to femininity can bring more balance and joy to life and drawing lessons from the greatest Torah personalities for a more joyful and successful life.
In addition, the women had the opportunity to participate in a special sourdough workshop, where they explored the health benefits of sourdough, tasted some of its incredible recipes, and got an intro and tips on how to DIY, adding a personal and creative touch to the day.
The Yagdil Torah winter retreat provided an unforgettable experience for the entire family. It was a day filled with fun, inspiration, and unity, leaving everyone excited, uplifted and full of positive energy, looking forward to the next gathering!
